To Qualify

If you purchased a Microsoft Operating System and/or Microsoft Application, or a personal computer with Microsoft software installed on it, in the United States, between November 16, 1995 and December 31, 2002, for use in Florida, you are a Class Member and may file a Consumer Claim Form for Settlement Benefits. Licenses for re-sale or re-licensing and licenses for government entities are not eligible for the Settlement. Also excluded are Microsoft, its officers, directors, successors, assignors and subsidiaries.

 

Claim Form

If you are a Class Member, you may submit a claim form, along with any necessary documents. Your claim must be deemed valid and the Court must approve the final settlement before you will receive Settlement Benefits for Vouchers that can be redeemed for cash rebates on purchases of a wide variety of computer hardware and software. To receive benefits you must:

  1. Submit a complete and timely claim form;

  2. Submit Proof of Qualification if you submit claims for more than five (5) licenses. Proof of Qualification is the Product Identification "PID" number(s); or the printed information you may have received with your mailed notice claim package. To locate your Production Identification "PID" number(s), in each application, select Help on the toolbar, then select About Microsoft product name and use the Product ID.
  3. Redeem your Vouchers

 

Deadline

The Claim deadline was April 17, 2006. Claims submitted after this date will not be accepted.

The Official Court Notice of the Florida Microsoft Class Action Settlement is available to inform the Class Members of the Settlement terms.
